New Life Series (Part III)

Photographing Kellen has been so much fun! This was our last shoot from our 3 part New Life Series. Check out Kellen’s Newborn Shoot, and their Maternity Shoot. I cannot wait to make them their album of their precious little one. I love the fact that life before he was born and his first year is so documented! Maybe that is because I am the youngest of 3 and there are practically no photos of me when I was younger. I know that our children someday will NOT have that problem.

After having been in Kellen's home I was able to get a good feel for their style and what backdrops would look great on their walls. We went to this great little spot in San Luis Obispo for the photography. Kellen was all smiles with all the tractors and bikes around. We eventually found greener pastures and played with some balls and toys. Let me tell you - this little guy is all boy. He's such a sweet little bruiser.

Thank You so very much - Rex, Molly, and Kellen!!!

Chip + Carrie

Chip and Carrie are Amazing. They were so much fun to hang out with! "Don't you mean - to photograph?" You say - well yes of course that, but we really did hang out. It was so much fun. We headed out for the shoot and ended up at a Vineyard in Edna Valley. Chip and Cameron had some wine while Carrie and I started on some photos of her and her 'bump'. I was throwing Chip in and out of the photos throughout the session - he was such a trooper. Carrie on the other hand was workin' it! She was so full of life and bubbbly. I could say anything and she would do it, it's so great when a client has complete trust in you. We soon headed down to the beach and I got so excited. The lighting was perfect and the colors they had on made them pop off the beautiful rocks. I was in heaven. I cannot wait to see their little one - they are going to be such fun parents. Thanks again guys - You were a blast and I am excited to hang out next time you are in town!!

Baby Catherine

There is nothing better than perfect light and perfect Cuteness!! This is Catherine, she is the sweetest little ducky. When babies have hair that stands up I call them duckies. You know, like little ducks have duck down - that fuzzy hair that is oh so cute and so soft. Anyhow, Catherine was so much fun to capture. Catherine's mom informed me today that she has already changed so much since the shoot. A week after our shoot she popped 2 teeth, her hair grew in a lot more, and she was traveling around so much more!

I guess as a parent it's so hard to find the 'perfect' time to get your child photographed. You think now would be a perfect time but then you want to wait because soon they will be doing this trick or they will have more hair or teeth or or or.....! Now IS the perfect time to capture your child because believe it or not - they won't stop changing!

Cameron shot Catherine's parent's wedding a few years back. They regret not getting a wedding album when they got married - because let's face it - you never get around to doing it later. They decided to make sure they don't make the same mistake twice so they ordered one of our child flush mount albums for Catherine's shoot. It will be BEAUTIFUL with all these great images. I am not exaggerating when I say - they are a gorgeous family.

Sweet Catherine - I am glad we captured you at such a sweet stage so that your parents can remember your days as a little one. Thanks again!!

Roberts Family - Take II

The Roberts family multiplied! Sue called me up to capture her family that was visiting in from out of town. 6 Adults and 2 kids later we were ready and shooting. I photographed the Roberts Family a year ago for some family shots and it was great to do it again with even more family. It is so much fun to work with clients again. They become more like friends and there kids grow with you. Her girls were even more comfortable with me this time and it was great to see how much they have grown!

Sue's sister and family were there with their 2 boys (cutest little blondies!) and Sue's parents. I started with some group shots and then had a few minutes with each child to capture their little personalities. The emphasis was mostly on the children so we took them to a bench and then a small creek.

Now is a great time to get photos of the family. We are designing some new templates for Christmas and New Year's Cards. We also have some great options of paper and sizes. Hurry up and schedule your time before it's too late!

Thanks again Roberts family! You are all too much fun!!

Mountain of Magic (or something like that)

Cameron and I have been working extra extra hard these past few months and now we are taking a little time to relax. We recently had a few weddings in Seattle, Wa and were able to play a little there after the weddings were over. This picture is with our point and shoot from Alki Beach in Seattle - So pretty and great food over there!
After getting back, we had 2 days of scrambling around to get work done before heading out again to Lake Shasta, Every year my side of the family takes a trip to the lake for some epic wake boarding and death tubing - this is where the boat driver tries to kill you and you try to stay on! We rented a houseboat with all the bells and whistles, it fanTAStic.

After getting back, we were so proud of ourselves for staying on top of the piles of work we decided to take ride some thrill rides at Magic Mountain (A roller coaster theme park in Ca). We had soooo much fun screaming and laughing with my Uncle and Cousin on the roller coasters and eating dip 'n dots and funnel cake. De-lish-ous. I thought I would share some fun photos and a fun video from Superman The Escape Ride. I can't stop laughing on those rides!!
