Connolly Family

Anna Ingalls San Luis Obispo family photographyMeet the Connolly Family. They are such awesome people!! Recent Central Coast dwellers they branched off to bigger waters. They wanted to do a shoot before their move to the San Diego area and I was so excited to capture their loving family. They are not only amazing people but creative and inspiring entrepreneurs. Clayton is a super talented musician and he and his wife Jessica started Acholi Beads. I am sure you have seen the beads in stores around the area and now they are being sold all over the U.S. Their hearts are golden and their mission is love. They empower people affected by war and injustice in Uganda by selling their handmade jewelry – from recycled magazines! They are so beautiful. Make sure to check out their website and find out what it’s all about and how you can help.

Reuben

Anna Ingalls San Luis Obispo Child PhotographerSweet little Reuben is here! He made his presence known on April 21, 2009 at 9:09am. He weighed a light 9lbs 10oz and 22 inches long. In these pictures he was a whole 1 day old. He doesn't know it yet but he will soon - his parents are the coolest and we love them.

My Family

Anna Ingalls San Luis Obispo Baby PhotographerOver the Holidays I shot some images of our family for some Christmas Cards. I had a blast and the weather was Amazing! The clouds looked like they were going to dump so we had some fun with the flashes and the kids did too! This is my gorgeous sister and her family – my 4 beautiful nephews/niece. It has been so fun to watch them grow into these beautiful people with amazing personalities. It’s so fun to have a different relationship with each of them. As I have posted before – I LOVE BEING AN AUNT!

Baby K

san luis Obispo children photographerSweet baby 'K' is so precious. I love when parents come on the day of the shoot and say - "He/She is sort of shy" or "They are not the most smiley today". That just means I get to crack them! I admit, I have no problem acting like a complete fool to get a smile from a little face. Plus - it's my job!!! I want to enter into that babies world instead of trying to make them perform. Baby K was no sweat. She was fed, changed, napped, and ready to go. Here are a few from that session:

New Life Series (Part III)

Photographing Kellen has been so much fun! This was our last shoot from our 3 part New Life Series. Check out Kellen’s Newborn Shoot, and their Maternity Shoot. I cannot wait to make them their album of their precious little one. I love the fact that life before he was born and his first year is so documented! Maybe that is because I am the youngest of 3 and there are practically no photos of me when I was younger. I know that our children someday will NOT have that problem.

After having been in Kellen's home I was able to get a good feel for their style and what backdrops would look great on their walls. We went to this great little spot in San Luis Obispo for the photography. Kellen was all smiles with all the tractors and bikes around. We eventually found greener pastures and played with some balls and toys. Let me tell you - this little guy is all boy. He's such a sweet little bruiser.

Thank You so very much - Rex, Molly, and Kellen!!!

Chip + Carrie

Chip and Carrie are Amazing. They were so much fun to hang out with! "Don't you mean - to photograph?" You say - well yes of course that, but we really did hang out. It was so much fun. We headed out for the shoot and ended up at a Vineyard in Edna Valley. Chip and Cameron had some wine while Carrie and I started on some photos of her and her 'bump'. I was throwing Chip in and out of the photos throughout the session - he was such a trooper. Carrie on the other hand was workin' it! She was so full of life and bubbbly. I could say anything and she would do it, it's so great when a client has complete trust in you. We soon headed down to the beach and I got so excited. The lighting was perfect and the colors they had on made them pop off the beautiful rocks. I was in heaven. I cannot wait to see their little one - they are going to be such fun parents. Thanks again guys - You were a blast and I am excited to hang out next time you are in town!!
